C’mon, Baby, do the locomotion

Hello, Ducks!

Starzina Starfish-Browne here with your Eric’s! Daily! Horoscope! for ToothDay, January Twenty-Tooth, ToothOwsandThirteen.  (If you think We’re carrying this “tooth” motif any farther (further?), you can bite Us.)

(Heh.  SWWDT?)

“The only time to eat diet food is while you're waiting for the steak to cook.”…Julia Child

Just thought We’d throw that in there, apropos of nussing.

Meanwhile, in Our dreams (yes, yes, We know We’re not supposed to bore you by telling you about them. (Is it more, or less, boring to tell you about how We’re not telling you about them? Inquiring minds want to…well, actually, inquiring minds don’t give a shit.)), We have started editing the scripts.  For example, in one dream last night, We were visiting someone, and We changed his boyfriend into somebody more attractive to Us, to make the dream more interesting.  In a second (more complicated) dream, We wound up totally changing a major plot point right near the end, because the whole thing was becoming too bogged down in details.  Who do We need to blow to get a job at HBO?

(That last bit was a song lyric, no?)

Okay, We’re done with dreams.  And Our waking life is equally boring.  Also, Bay-Bee, it’s cold outside.  Or at least, so They tell Us.  We may find out when We go to the Eye-talian Market later.  (If they would lettuce purchase an actual Eye-talian, We might not leave OurHouseWhereWeLive till the Spring thaw.)

Here is a little Aquarius fillum, for Our birthday Aquarians:

And here are the HorrorScopes:

The best celebrity birthday We can come up with today is Piper Laurie.  Well, Piper Laurie and Sir Francis Bacon.  If Piper Laurie married Sir Francis Bacon, she’d be Lady Piper Laurie Bacon.  (That’s not a joke, just an observation.  (You can tell it’s not a joke, because it’s not funny.  (The jokes are the funny bits.)))

To make up for the preceding, here is a picture of Kevin Bacon naked:

(Oh, yeah, right.  Like We were gonna post the shower picture from Wild Things, and get thrown the hell out of Bloggonia.)

You are feeling a strong urge to express yourself in a new way — so get to it!  (Assuming (thereby making you think of Uma Thurman’s ass (albeit NOT showing you a picture of it)) that We were correct in that yesterday’s fart joke was Our first fart joke of 2013, the preceding sentence would be (you guessed it) Number Two.)

(Heh.  We said “Number Two”.)

You may find that your energy is perfect for something new and unique, (A nap, for example.)

and there’s no time like the present.  (Now, that’s not entirely true.  The past used to be quite like the present.  The future will, eventually, be much like the present as well.  So, essentially, Kelli, you are talking out of Uma Thurman’s ass.)

(Have We ever determined a sensible reason why Micro$oft Weird™ would recognize “Thurman” as a word, but not “Uma”?  (It’s quite clear why it recognizes “ass”.))

You might not be in the midst of a sizzling affair, (Ya think?)

but there is certainly something exciting brewing between you and another person. (What’d’We, miss something?)

Someone is on exactly the same page with you, (Is it just Us, or does that sound a little more creepy than she probably intended it?)

either in a professional or social situation, and today brings you an opportunity to connect with them on a whole new level. (In the parking garage of Life. (Does anybody have any idea what da fuq Kelli is talking about?))

It might be up to you to get the conversation going, but once you do, the other person will drive most of the talking — and you’ll start to feel like you’ve known them all your life.  (Dr-dr-dr-drive talkin’ (Kiss Us quick, We’re a BeeGee.))

There is immense potential for motion in your love life right now  (Is it possible to even HAVE a love life without motion?  (Our Own Personal love life needs an enema.))

(Micro$oft Weird™ is suggesting that We replace “enema” with “enemy”.  Micro$oft Weird™ is fucked up.)

— so how do you want to get moving?   (Let’s jus’ mix up some Ex-Lax™ wit’ Our crack…)

Be active about rearranging events and you might end up with something really hot now.  (Well, if you rearrange “events”, you get “Steven”.   So who’s Steven, and how hot is he?)

 (Your Your-O-Scopes:

(Meanwhile, why We didn’t think of this sooner, We’ve got no idea, but better laid than necking, as they say (and how right they are!).  For real live actual ass(tromlaogical) ho(roscopular) advice, please visit Our good friend AstroGeek here:  http://agskylab.blogspot.com/.  Our Own epistular musings are of use to you only insofar as making you feel better by comparison, but he will give you actual pertinent advice for your very own lives, based on upon the positions and transitations of all manner of planets, planetoids, asteroids, Altoids™, hemorrhoids, and other heavenly flotsam, jetsam, and Jetsons.  Plus, he knows all about Uranus!)

Starzina Starfish-Browne was born in the wagon of a traveling show…well, okay, not really. She was actually born in Lowake, Texas, the daughter of a beautician and either a garage mechanic or the town mailman. At sixteen, she escaped her humble beginnings by running off with Doctor Browne’s Traveling Medicine Show and, more to the point, Doctor Browne. Following the dissolution of this unfortunate entanglement (Doctor Browne was a Virgo and Starzina is, of course, an Aries), which produced a daughter, Starzina entered a contest in Soap Opera Digest and won a scholarship to Oxford (yes, in ENGLAND), where she earned her doctorate in the newly-created dual major of Astrology and Human Sexuality. There is absolutely NO TRUTH to the rumor that Starzina’s second daughter has Royal blood, despite tabloid photographs allegedly depicting her cavorting on the Italian Riviera with Princes William and Harry, clad only in Prussian helmets and armbands of questionable taste. Starzina currently resides with her daughters in Philadelphia, the City That Loves You (On Your) Back, where she enjoys Double Coupon Day at the local SuperCruise and “encouraging” the coxswain of the Penn rowing team.

All I want for Christmas is vous

Hello, Ducks!

Starzina Starfish-Browne here with your Eric’s! Daily! Horoscope! for SayerDee, December 15, 2012.  Happy Birthday to Chris, who turns twenty-four today.  Also, Happy Birthday to Max, who also turns twenty-four today.  Also also, Happy Birthday to Kate, who also also turns twenty-four today. And lassoed but not leased, Happy Birthday to Our future ex-husband Joey, who also turns twenty-four today.

Here at Eric’s!Daily!Horoscope!, while We are certainly wont to go on for several paragraphs about How We Broke A Nail, We tend to leave actual natural disasters and human tragedies to pundits more weighty and ponderous than Our Own Self.  However, in the wake of yesterday’s catastrophic events in Connecticut, We would just like to say, thank Gawd for SitOnMyFaceBook, which offered almost immediate comfort by providing Paula Deen’s reaction to the tragedy.  (She was opposed, in case you were wondering.)

We are sure that Heavy Metal Dance Fag went brilliantly last night. Here is where to get tickets for tonight’s performance, should any be inexplicably still available:

This just in from Helen Keller’s Twitter account:

Even I'm getting annoyed with Christmas music at this point.

#AmITheOnlyOneThat sucks at musical chairs?

Not a big fan of watching Christmas movies. I don't know what it is.

And now, because it is Christmastime, fercrissakes, and We have Things To Do, but We’re still trying to post every day for Holidailies™, the following is an encore presentation of an Eric’s!Daily!Horoscope! from Decemebr 15, 2011.  (Be grateful.  You are being spared a long story of a dream in which We moved to Pocatello, Idaho.  (And no, We’re NOT making that up.)):

Police towed my car

Hello, Ducks!

Starzina Starfish-Browne here with your Eric’s Daily Horoscope for ThirtySomething, December 15, 2011.  Happy birthday to Chris, who turns twenty-four today.  Also, happy birthday to Max, who does not.

So it’s ten days till Christmas.  Or it’s nine days till Christmas Eve.  Or, to be technically correct,  it’s Christmas Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve Eve. Eve was weak, and We can see your dirty pillows. (Goodness gracious, she ejaculated, it’s only the first paragraph, and already We’ve had Christopher Walken and Piper Laurie. What’s next, Jonathan Frid?  (We racked what passes for Our brain to come up with a third celebrity to put there, and the best We could do was Jonathan Frid. Because Charlie Sheen is overexposed, and Charlene Tilton would just be gratuitous at this point. (Meanwhile, how many of you counted the “Eve”s earlier in the paragraph to make sure We didn’t make a mistake?    You MIGHT want to tell Santa to bring you a life for Christmas.)))

Does anyone else have trouble remembering how many Ps there are in Ryan Phillippe, or is it just Us?  Just Us?  Alrighty, then.

You are no doubt wondering where We have been.  Because naturally you spend your every waking moment preoccupied with Us and Our life.  Well, let’S see.   On Toozdee, We had an early morning eye appointment, which was, for those of you familiar with the geography of the City That Loves You (On Your) Back, at approximately 20th and Spring Garden.  We SEPTAd Our way there, sat through the entire boring affair (including almost an entire episode of The View in the waiting area…people actually WATCH this?!?), and then walked into town to do some Christmas shopping.  We then started walking the bus route back to Casa de Crackwhore, but no bus ever came, so essentially We walked from 20th and Spring Garden to OurHouseWhereWeLive.  How We remain the same size as OurHouseWhereWeLive, We’ll never know.

On Humpdee, Himself and his little friends The WaitStaff had to trek to the McMansionLand that is North Jersey to entertain at a corporate holiday party (which was held, for those who truly follow along, here: http://springlakegolfclub.net/ ) . Imagine fifty or sixty drunken Republicans with entirely too much money, to whom entertainers are clearly eighteenth-class citizens, and who have never seen a HO-ma-seck-shool up close before.  Yeah, that kind of show.  Add on that, with travel time included, the day went from 10AM to 7PM. Fortunately, a check is forthcoming.

Speaking of the WaitStaff, they continue to rehearse their dingles to the berry to give YouPeople The Perfect Christmas Sketch Comedy Show, and they hope to See You Next Tuesday, December 20th, at 8PM at Helium Comedy Club for The Real Housewives of South Philly Occupy Xmas.  Tickets can be obtained here:  https://www.seatengine.com/venue/helium-comedy-club/event/897 and make an excellent early Christmas gift for those difficult-to-buy-for people on your Christmas list .

In the meantime, to whet your appetite, you could go watch this.  If you haven’t already.  And you haven’t. We know, because We see you when you’re sleeping.  And you drool.  And not in a cute way.

You could also share it with your friends.  It’s the least you could do.  No, really, the very least.  Considering all We do for you:

And now, Christopher Walken, Piper Laurie, Jonathan Frid, and Charlene Tilton in a remake of I Love Lucy.  Or the HorrorScope:

You need to indulge your competitive side today — even more so than usual — and that could mean that you’re eyed with suspicion by those nearby.  (Those nearby today will include Our dentist and the WaitStaff.  Is there a competition of which We are unaware?)

Things start to get weird later, (So things are perfectly normal now?  Good to know.)

but for now, you’re all good.  (We hate that almost as much as We hate “it is what it is.”)

Things are really starting to simmer in your life — are you ready for the heat? (If you can’t stand the heat, regrout in your kitchen.  (What does that even MEAN?))

Because as what you want moves closer to you, it’s moving away from someone else.  (Wow.  That is so very Zen.  Snatch this pebble from my snatch, Glasshoppah.)

This person could make things a bit sticky for you for a little while, (Wait…are you saying that’s a BAD thing?)

but you don’t need to worry too much about that. (Sticky is GOOD.  Sticky is also a character in Our version of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.)

It is much wiser to simply embrace all your newly found and richly deserved adventures.  (And We are nothing if not wise.)

Just concentrate on having a good time.  (Didn’t We already say “dentist”?  Pay attention.  Bee-yotch.)

If love makes the world go ‘round, you’re at the very hub of that wheel.  (Was that a fat joke?)

Keep it spinning wildly by acting on impulse, creating a hubbub or carrying out a daring feat in the realm of romance. (Hub, hubbub…see what she did there?  Neither do We.)

Someone left my cake out in the rain

Greetings, Enchantress Recants Incapacitating Chants---

Here is your horoscope for Sunday, March 14, 2010 (And a Velly Happy Monsoon Season to One and All. (It could, presumably, have been worse…it could have been snow. Of course, it remains to be seen if it’s ever going to stop, so there’s that.) Also, Happy Sunday, and Happy Ides Of March Eve. (Who the h3ll is Eve, and how did she get in here? (Eve was weak…(Thank you, Piper Laurie.))) We Our Own Selves Personally decided it would be wise to take a morning constitutional yesterday. Actually, We were on Our way to a seminar at a casting agency, entitled “Why You Will Never Work In Show Business, You Hideous Aged Hag”. But, all New Age-y Creative ViZZZualization aside, We bring it up here for those who enjoy playing along with the Eric’s Daily Horoscope Home Game (Thank you, Don Pardo.) We were going from 11th and Mifflin (S 11th St., for those who are MapQuesting) to 7th and Callowhill (N 7th St, in MQ). Which means We walked down to 7th Street to catch the northbound #47 SEPTA bus. Naturally, We walked along the bus route until the bus came…which didn’t happen until Lombard Street, for those who (A.) know the geography or (2.) are MapQuesting. We were a bit moist., to say the very least. (Isn’t “moist” one of those words that just sounds filthy?)):

(But other than that, what did you think of Dallas, Mrs. Kennedy?)

(In addition to Monsoon Season, it is also of course Sunday (currently a misnomer if there ever was one), so Happy Sunday, and Happy Pi Day to all of Our nerd friends. (Happy Pie Day to the rest of all y’all, because mmmm….pie!))

(Our Our-O-Scope today is not Our usual Our-O-Scope, but rather is an Ass(tromalogical) Ho(roscopulational) Pro(gnostimacation) for the entire upcoming week from The Distracted Asstrologer at
http://distractedastrologer.wordpress.com/2010/03/14/sun-sign-horoscopage-15th%e2%80%9321st-march-2010/ We offer it here without additional commentary because it’s pretty funny all on its own, plus We have to go get ready to leave OurHouseWhereWeLive again (We know…riiight?) to see some play entitled Naked Boys Singing About Baseball. Sometimes, the Glamour that is Our life is nigh on overwhelming.)

On Monday evening, Mercury and Uranus make the monthly meeting of Luminaries a bit more interesting by spiking the Sun and Moon’s cocoa.

On Tuesday, the silver-tongued god of commerce hears that Neptune and Chiron are making St Patrick’s Day aftercare packages, and offers them a healthy bulk buy discount on alka seltzer.

Wednesday finds the Sun with a St Paddy’s day tab at the Pisces bar and a new friend in Uranus. Neptune and Venus fall out after their third pint of stout and cider, while Mercury quietly packs his bag for a move next door. Not one for clearing-up, isn’t our Mercury.

Thursday’s Sun only moves to accept slow sips of alka seltzer from concerned Neptune. Venus raises her head from the floorboards, tells Chiron to sod off, then hides under the mat until the Universe stops somersaulting. In another room of the Aries house, Mercury phones landlord Mars, to offer him free cable, no questions asked. Shortly before midnight, the Sun accepts Chiron’s kind offer of two paracetamol and a pint of Irn Bru.

Friday is quiet, in a sleeping-off or watching back-to-back episodes of All Creatures Great and Small sort of way.

On Saturday morning, a window at the Capricorn castle flies up, and Pluto bawls across to Mercury. As catchy as the theme tune is, if he has to listen once more to those merry pom pom poms he would personally raze the Yorkshire Dales to the ground, rendering the role of a mid 20th century rural vet defunct. Mercury changes channel to Hi-De-Hi.

Saturday teatime, the Sun bursts through the front door of the Aries house, ready for his fresh, new, sober start. The week ends with the Sun and landlord Mars planning a new extension to the Aries house. It always gets crowded there this time of year.

Aries

Did last week not live up to the promises of renewed Va Va Voom? Was it disjointed? A little bit Va? A bit oom? This week adds continuity — particularly from late Wednesday onwards when your sign gets more company and your ruler plays nice — gives you the engine you need to pick up the speed, and a pen to add an exclamation mark.
